Tee was born in Surin, in the north-east of Thailand, in 1975. After attending a private Chinese school in Bangkok, Tee studied for 3 years at Chang Sin College of Fine Arts, followed by 5 years at famed Silpakorn University.
Throughout his studies, Tee also assisted with many of the Art Department’s commercial art projects, including stage design, sculpture, glass blowing, body painting and advertising. Having held many solo exhibitions in Bangkok, including Gaysorn & Jim Thompson’s House, as well as in Singapore, Tee opened his own art gallery in Bangkok’s Times Square Building in 2001.
I like my art to reflect a wide range of experiences and opinions, not only those gained from textbooks or tutors, but from the world around us”, says Tee. “I am continually learning and expanding my horizons, which I hope reflects in my work and can bring fresh perspectives to the viewer.
